Matsumoto Jun in misplaced anger rant! Being truly angry on tv defiantly

VS Arashi which is aired last thursday on March 3 is up for criticism over Matsumoto Jun's (27) openly pouty attitude. The opposite team in this episode is guest from Getsu drama 「Taisetsu na Koto wa Subete Kimi ga Oshiete Kureta」 and the plus one guest is comedian Football Hour, showing a development into a game full of climax. Miura Haruma (21) who is a big fan of VS Arashi has a showdown against Arashi in his 5 favourite games on the show.

Miura was excited from the beginning. "I always wanted to play these games", participating in all the games and having a big lead over Arashi team. In 「Dual Curling」 Arashi team sent out Matsumoto Jun in an attempt to recover the points. However perhaps due to his anxiety to win, after this game the Getsu team gains a bigger lead, resulting in a situation where all the members blame him for his error. Upon this Matsujun became defiant and frantically defended himself by excusing that the equipment is flawed.

At the opening of the next game 「Cliff Climb」, Matsujun's sour look remained unchanged and the tense mood was conveyed to the audience through the screen. There is no sign of Matsujun's mood recovering despite the efforts of Arashi members and Football Hour trying to enliven the atmosphere. Wanting to change the atmosphere no matter what, Arashi team abruptly nominated Matsujun to take part in Cliff Climb. In between this Nozomu Iwao of Football Hour rebuked him "Today's Matsujun is unattractive, is it really ok at this rate?!", Matsujun's stiff facial expression then softened slightly. However he repeatedly made mistakes during the game and did not manage to display any of his forte, ending up with Arashi team losing to the Getsu team.

And of course in MDA (Most Dame Arashi) Matsujun was selected by the other members. Whether it is Arashi or the guest, usually when the game ends everyone would return back to their usual manner but the recording had an unexpected happening. After the recording is over the camera pursues after Matsujun who had a depressed expression and he made a rash remark instead "What are you doing! Are you stupid ?!" Despite Matsujun being famous for being a sore loser, there are criticisms over his reckless remarks in front of the camera as there are a vast number of children watching.

Ohno Satoshi to host TV series on Jakuchu’s art

Arashi's member Ohno Satoshi (30) has been appointed as the navigator of a short series on NHK’s BS Premium satellite channel, marking his first opportunity to host a television show on his own. The show, called “Jakuchu Miracle World,” will air on four consecutive nights, from April 25 to April 28.

The show covers the life of painter Ito Jakuchu (often referred to simply as Jakuchu), who lived between 1716 and 1800, during the mid-Edo period. In particular, state-of-the-art technology will be used to analyze his works in detail.

Ohno himself is a painter and sculptor. In 2008, he held an art exhibition called “FREESTYLE,” which started in Tokyo and traveled to other major cities across Japan. It is said that Ohno became a fan of Jakuchu’s works about five years ago, after receiving a recommendation from a friend Ohno became a fan of Jukuchu’s work 5 years ago, and remarked, “Jukuchu’s paintings are perfectly drawn from corner to corner. It’s amazing that he puts his soul in all his work.”

This will be the first time Ohno hosts a show by himself. He commented, “I usually shine on shows hen teased by people around me, so I’m looking forward to discovering a new side of myself.”

BS Premium is a new high-definition satellite channel that will start on April 1, when NHK consolidates its three satellite channels into two. “Jakuchu Miracle World” will be broadcast from 9:00pm to 10:00pm on April 25-27, and from 8:00pm to 9:00pm on April 28.

Korean movie remake of “Kimi wa Petto” holds launch event in Japan

On March 3rd, the cast of the Korean “Kimi wa Petto” film remake attended a launch event in Japan’s Ibaraki Airport.

“Kimi wa Petto” (You’re My Pet), based on a manga of the same name, was made into a hit drama in 2003, starring model/actress Koyuki and Arashi’s Matsumoto Jun, and the same roles will be portrayed by actors Kim Ha Neul and Jang Geun Suk in the remake. In the original story, the male character becomes the ‘pet’ of the female protagonist after being found abandoned in a cardboard box.

The two lead actors attended the promotional event along with band group FT Island’s Choi Jong Hun and director Kim Byeong Kon. The cast met with around 3000 fans.

Kim told the press, “Jang Geun Suk, who is a great actor, also has a cute charisma that suits a ‘pet‘.” Jang replied, “I’m happy to be Ha Neul’s pet.”

Filming for the movie will begin in the city of Ibaraki in May.

Arashi’s secrets will be revealed on this week’s “Himitsu no Arashi-chan”

On the March 3rd episode of Arashi’s hit variety show “Himitsu no Aarashi-chan“, the singers will reveal secrets they’ve kept from even their own group members!

The guest in the segment “VIP Room” will be singer-songwriter aiko. She will talking about the real life experiences behind her most popular 3 singles. In addition, she asks the Arashi members to reveal a secret they’ve never told anyone before.

In the segment “Mannequin Five“, the members of Arashi will compete with actors Sato Ryuta and Shinagawa Hiroshi to coordinate the ultimate outfit with the theme “Jeans”.

The episode will air 10pm on Thursday night in Japan (noon on Thursday, EST).

Johnny’s Company allows pictures of their celebrities at their official site “Johnny’s net”

Johnny’s Company is known to be the most strict company of not allowing any of their Johnny’s celebrity pictures in any sites. But recently, pictures of Johnny’s celebrity has appeared at their own site “Johnny’s net“. From the tab “Artist”, you can choose the Johnny’s artist you want to see and click “Profile” to go to the profile page. Though the pictures are small, they definitely have pictures of the artist from Smap, Arashi, V6 to Hey Say Jump on the pages.

Even though Johnny’s Company allowed pictures to be on their own website, it is still blocked from using right clicks to copy the images.

Arashi’s “Lotus” tops Oricon Weekly Chart

Arashi’s 35th single “Lotus” has sold 541,000 copies in its first week, making it number one this week on Oricon’s Weekly Single Ranking.

“Lotus” is Arashi’s 24th consecutive first place single since “PIKA★★NCHI DOUBLE”, which was released in February 2004, and is their 31st overall. Arashi has held their first place position for eight consecutive years.

“Lotus” is also the theme song for the drama “Bartender” which, Arashi member, Aiba Masaki stars in.

Arashi “Lotus” sold over 240,000 on their first day of sale.

Arashi has released their 35th single “Lotus” on the 23rd of February and sold over more than 240,000 on the first day of sale. (exact number 241,173). They were ranked in as No. 1 in the Oricon single daily chart and made a good start. From their debut single “A.RA.SHI“, they have left a record of ranking 35 of their singles in TOP 3 and ranking 30 of their singles as number 1 in the Weekly single ranking chart of Oricon.

As many know, “Lotus” is used as the theme song for Aiba’s drama “Bartender“. They have released two types of the CD, limited edition and regular edition. In limited edition, it contains the PV for “Lotus” and in regular edition, it contains two other songs, “Boom Boom” and “ever”.
